Associate - Corporate M&A at Astrea

We’re looking for a driven and skilled legal professional with:

• A Belgian Master’s degree in Law, ideally with a focus on corporate law.
• At least 4 years of experience in Corporate M&A transactions.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
• A client-focused mindset with the ability to provide thorough analysis and practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and entrepreneurial drive, paired with the ability to work independently.

As an Associate in our Corporate M&A team, you’ll take on challenging legal work for large and medium-sized Belgian and international companies. You’ll collaborate closely with a team of 15 specialists, gaining hands-on experience and direct client interaction.

The Corporate M&A team is renowned for its expertise in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity transactions, corporate litigation, and other complex corporate law matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising and supporting clients on diverse corporate law matters.
• Drafting and refining legal documents, including contracts for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Actively participating in negotiations, facilitating deals, and resolving legal challenges.
• Analyzing client needs to develop effective strategies and solutions.
• Representing Astrea at events, contributing to publications, and participating in external client seminars.
• Keeping your legal knowledge current through professional groups, training, and seminars.
