Associate - Tax Law at Monard Law

The ideal candidate has:

• A Master’s degree in Law from a Belgian university, preferably with additional qualifications in Taxation or Notarial Law.
• 2 to 7 years of experience as a tax lawyer, consultant, or in-house tax specialist; experience in Estate Planning is a strong asset.
• A solid foundation in tax and legal knowledge, with the ability to work independently and with focus.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional legal quality and service.
• Excellent communication skills, with a clear and client-focused approach.
• A proactive mindset to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
• A collaborative spirit, with a natural ability to work as part of a team.
• A keen interest in economics and current tax developments.
• Fluency in Dutch, with good knowledge of French and English.

Your role will include:

• Advising on tax regulations, including incentives like stock option plans and SME exemptions.
• Assisting clients with rulings, mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and tax litigation.
• Engaging in internal and external seminars to share and expand your expertise.
• Regular contact with authorities such as the Ruling Commission and tax audit services.
• Working with a diverse client base, ranging from innovative start-ups and large family businesses to multinationals in various industries.
