Who are we looking for?

Our client’s Tax Law team is looking for a driven associate with a genuine passion for taxation. You will play an active role in advising and assisting entrepreneurs and companies across a broad range of tax matters. From day one, you will take ownership of your files and build strong, long-term relationships with clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage files from A to Z and act as a trusted advisor to your clients
  • Provide tailored tax advice on matters such as rulings, due diligence, and restructurings
  • Represent clients during tax audits and defend their interests before courts and tribunals
  • Work closely with colleagues in a collaborative and knowledge-driven environment
  • Contribute to the continued growth and future development of the firm

What does the ideal candidate look like?

To succeed in this role and thrive at Monard Law, we believe you will have:

  • A Belgian Master’s degree in Law, preferably complemented by additional education in tax law (e.g. LL.M., postgraduate studies)
  • Several years of experience in tax law within a law firm, consultancy, or in-house environment
  • The ability to work independently and in a structured manner, supported by strong legal and tax knowledge
  • A strong focus on quality, both in legal content and client service
  • Excellent communication skills, with a clear and pragmatic approach towards clients and colleagues
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to understand and anticipate client needs
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude
  • A strong interest in economic developments and tax updates
  • Native Dutch proficiency and a good command of English and French
