Our client is an international player active in the consumer sector, with operations across several European countries. The organisation is active in both physical retail and e-commerce and is strongly driven by innovation, digitalisation and continuous transformation.

Within this context, the legal team plays an important role in supporting a wide range of business and technology-related activities and is seeking to further strengthen its capabilities. Our client is therefore looking for a Junior Legal Counsel IT & Digital to join their in-house legal team.

What will you do?

In this role, you will support IT, Digital and Technology stakeholders as a legal partner within an international environment. You will contribute to a wide range of technology-related matters and digital initiatives.

You will:

  • Advise internal stakeholders on IT and digital legal matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of technology-related agreements
  • Support IT and digital projects in collaboration with privacy and compliance teams
  • Work on cross-border and multidisciplinary matters
  • Translate legal issues into practical, business-oriented solutions
  • Contribute to templates, guidelines and knowledge sharing within the organisation

What does the ideal candidate look like?

To succeed in this role, we believe you will have:

  • A Master’s degree in Law
  • Around 3 years of relevant experience in IT, technology and/or digital law
  • A genuine interest in digital transformation and emerging technologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to think independently and take initiative
  • Native Dutch or French, with a good command and understanding of the other national language, and an excellent command of English
