Who are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in law, ideally specialised in corporate law

  • 6–10 years’ experience in Belgian corporate & governance law, including listed-company compliance, FSMA/MAR, and Euronext regulations

  • Strong knowledge of director duties, shareholder rights, cross-border transactions, and contract governance

  • Proficiency with legal knowledge management systems and best practices

  • Experience working autonomously within complex/matrixed global environments

  • Solid understanding of FMCG sector dynamics and regulatory context

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Ensure legal compliance with Belgian and EU corporate laws, FSMA rules, the Belgian Corporate Governance Code, and Euronext listing requirements
  • Lead preparation of corporate governance disclosures in annual reports and public filings
  • Organise and manage board and shareholder meetings across group entities, ensuring thorough documentation and implementation
  • Safeguard against market abuse and insider trading – maintain the Dealing Code, manage insider lists, and uphold transparency obligations
  • Monitor legal developments and translate them into governance improvements, offering support in M&A, restructuring, and entity governance
  • Act as trusted legal advisor to Corporate Departments (Finance, Tax, HR, ESG, ICT, etc.)
  • Hold bi-annual alignment sessions with Corporate Directors and collaborate with the Compliance Manager to identify and address local compliance needs
  • Participate in regional/global legal initiatives to drive continuous process improvement and foster cross-functional partnership
