Senior M&A Broker

Mergers and acquisitions and other market transactions are complex, time-critical and highly specialized. In this role, you will advise clients and colleagues on transaction design and facilitation, placement opportunities and market developments within the M&A insurance space.

Insurance capital has become an increasingly important tool to facilitate M&A transactions, from removing deal-breaking risks to covering balance sheet reserve requirements. In this role, you will help deliver tailored solutions that unlock value and improve deal outcomes.

As a Senior M&A Broker, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver various M&A insurance solutions (primarily Warranty & Indemnity insurance) to customers and prospects by leveraging your experience and technical expertise in W&I insurance and other transaction liability insurance solutions.
• Agree and execute the insurance placement strategy, from assessing transaction documents and due diligence reports to preparing documentation required to approach the market for insurance terms.
• Review insurance terms, negotiate policy conditions with specialized insurance markets and successfully close negotiations with insurers in line with the commercial transaction strategy.
• Build and maintain commercially successful relationships with M&A production and distribution sources and stakeholders, including law firms, financial advisors and investment banks, accountancy firms, private equity firms and professional or industry groups.
• Raise awareness of various M&A insurance products through education and training of existing customers and the broader M&A deal community, including participating in panels, contributing articles to industry publications and positioning yourself as a thought leader in the M&A insurance sector.
• Develop and implement marketing plans and initiatives in collaboration with marketing and business development teams.
• Contribute to the implementation of strategies to grow the book of business in Belgium and Luxembourg.
